The Restaurant

La Vieille Porte is situated on the lakeside at the northern end of Yvoire inside the original ancient mediaeval walls. It also has a large terrace for dining outside in the summer months. Our property formed a defensive corner tower adjoining the tower-gate, named Rovorée and we have been the owners since 1587. It is certainly the oldest bistro in Yvoire and we still have the licence and accounts book in our possession.
